Do you not see the massive difference? Dubas is signing those players for NHl minimum for 1 year to be 4th liners. JFJ was giving those players big deals to be core pieces.

Nylander, Marner, Matthews will get massive TOI. They are all 24 and under. Rielly is 26. Brodie is in his prime. Same with Lentonen.
